MSC-T (formerly known as MFY)  PROGRAM

This eight week Program meets weekly on Sundays from Sept 12th to Oct 31st, 2021

From 3:00 to 4:30pm PST

Creators of the MSC-T Program

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a program created for adults by Dr Kristin Neff and Dr Chris Germer. Mindful Self-Compassion for Teens (The program formerly known as Making Friends with Yourself) is the teen adaptation of MSC created by Dr Karen Bluth and Lorraine Hobbs.

This four week workshop gives participants an opportunity to dive deeper into core values by learning how to incorporate skills in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) when cultivating a kinder voice.

Being critical, blaming, shaming, and guilting self and others are examples of how violence shows up in communication.  This occurs because there are underlying core values (or human needs) that are not honored.  Participants will learn how to integrate MSC-T tools with NVC tools in not only finding a kinder voice for self, but in having a framework for giving empathy to self and others.
